AHI hosts "Working Together" Conference & Workshop

On June 20th and 21st, 2008 Awakenings Health Institute located in Solana Beach, California will be hosting the 1st annual ‘Working Together’ Conference.  This will be a gathering of thirteen Intensive Exercise-Based Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Facilities, unified in the common goal of maximizing health, wellness, and quality of life for individuals with paralysis.

The objective of this conference is to form a national association, which will afford its members an increased sphere of influence and credibility within the field of Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation.  ‘Working Together’ will establish guidelines for exercise-based assessment, treatment protocols, and education of clients in order to establish industry standards and maintain consistency. Cutting edge therapies and equipment that compliment recovery will be among the many discussed topics for this much needed event.

It is our goal to increase awareness of the service we provide and how we can fill the void following the end of medically established acute rehabilitation for Spinal Cord Injury . We will update the site with news as it develops!
